Trainspotting 2 Movie 2016 Is Happening!

Trainspotting 2 Movie 2016 Is Happening!
Trailer To Be Released By Early 2015 As Director Danny Boyle Reveals Plans For Upcoming Sequel!

Nov 17, 2014 08:11 AM EST | By Cindy Wallace

Trainspotting 2 movie is indeed happening! The sequel to the successful 1996 film featuring Ewan McGregor,  Ewen Bremner, Jonny Lee Miller, Kevin McKidd, Robert Carlyle, and Kelly Macdonald is set to be released on the year 2016.

Reports say that Director Danny Boyle is "very optimistic" about working on the sequel. He is set to work with John Hodge, who wrote the original screenplay for the first movie released last 1996. According to Boyle, the upcoming sequel will be loosely based on "Porno", Irvine Welsch's second book following his first book which led to the movie hit.

As to the cast, Boyle is aiming to get everyone on board for the sequel, for the fans' sake. According to The Telegraph, he said that as long as Hodge makes a good script, it will not be a challenge to get everyone on boar, quote: "If John can produce a decent enough script, I don't think there will be any barriers to Ewan or any of the cast coming back." This includes Ewan McGregor, who plays the antagonist "Mark Renton", Jonny Lee Miller, also known as "Sick Boy", and Robert Carlyle, who plays "Begbie".

As to the reason behind doing the Trainspotting 2 Movie 2016 after more than a decade of the first movie's release, Boyle said that it is to not disappoint the fans. "The reason for doing it again is that people cherish the original, people remember it or have caught up with it if they never saw because they were younger.

Although this is definitely good news for die-hard fans, some are worried that the sequel release might be a little too late, as there have been numerous breakthrough movies that definitely surpassed Trainspotting 1, and the appeal to the audience might not be the same as the first movie. It has simply been too long. Then again, we never know what might happen, so better tune in to find out.

The movie is set to be released in 2016.
What do you think about the Trainspotting 2 Movie 2016 news? Sound off below!

Trainspotting sequel planned, says Welsh

Trainspotting sequel planned, says Welsh
Monday 17 November 2014

A SEQUEL to Trainspotting is being planned to be released in 2016, 20 years after the original.

Key players from the original movie, which starred Ewan McGregor, Robert Carlyle, Ewan Bremner, Jonny Lee Miller and Kevin McKidd, have held "summit" meetings in Edinburgh to plot the progress of the sequel.

It has been reported that the director of Trainspotting, Danny Boyle, and McGregor are now on better terms after falling out over the casting of his movie The Beach in 2000.

Irvine Welsh, the Edinburgh writer of the novel that inspired the movie, said: "I know Danny and Ewan are back in touch with each other again.

"There are others in the cast who've had a rocky road, but now also reconciled.

"They've all been building bridges."

He added: "With the Trainspotting sequel the attention is going to be even more intense this time round because the first was such a great movie - and Danny's such a colossus now.

"When it comes out it's going to be the big movie talking point of the year.

"We're all protective of the Trainspotting legacy and we want to make a film that adds to that legacy and doesn't take away from it."

'Once Upon a Time': Is Hook going to die?

'Once Upon a Time': Is Hook going to die?
By Natalie Abrams on Nov 17, 2014 at 1:38PM @NatalieAbrams

As if Emma didn’t have enough on her plate, now there’s a very real possibility that her pirate boyfriend is going to die—she just doesn’t know it yet.

During Sunday’s episode of Once Upon a Time, Hook (Colin O’Donoghue) attempted to stop Rumple (Robert Carlyle) from stealing Emma’s (Jennifer Morrison) powers. Thwarted after Elsa (Georgina Haig) helped Emma get her powers under control, Rumple set his sights on getting the other ingredient he needs to rid himself of the dagger: the heart of someone who knew him before he was the Dark One. Unfortunately, the only person left alive from that era is Hook, whose heart is swiftly ripped out. Though he’s not dead yet, Rumple vows to kill Hook once he’s run a few errands for him first.

“Hook firmly believes that Rumplestiltskin is going to kill him,” O’Donoghue tells EW. “He has to do whatever Rumple tells him to, but he can’t help but already miss the idea of not having Emma. He’s desperate to try and figure out a way to survive, but for somebody who prides himself on being a survivor, this is the last grasp.”

With the Snow Queen (Elizabeth Mitchell) having released the Spell of Shattered Sight, Emma may not realize her new beau is a dead man walking. “She senses something, but she doesn’t have time to figure out,” Morrison says, noting that Hook’s lack of heart won’t necessarily change things between them. “As we’ve established before, Regina [Lana Parrilla] spent a long time without her heart and it didn’t stop her from loving Henry [Jared Gilmore] or Robin Hood [Sean Maguire]. Hook doesn’t cease being Hook and doesn’t cease having the feelings that he has for Emma. He’s just blackmailed into a circumstance where Gold can, at any moment, control him. He hates having this secret from Emma and he doesn’t know what it means in the long run, what she would do if she found out this secret.”

Sadly, it won’t be long before Rumple puts Hook to use. “He uses Hook as a hit man to get [other magical beings],” O’Donoghue says. “He really doesn’t want to have to do that, and it’s killing him to have to pretend to Emma that everything is okay. Hook does some things that he really doesn’t want to and wishes that he didn’t have to. He’s remorseful for that, but he has no choice.”

Once Upon a Time airs Sundays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.

Elizabeth Mitchell about OUAT and Robert Carlyle

'Once Upon a Time's Elizabeth Mitchell Teases Future Devastation from the Spell of Shattered Sight!

by Leanne Aguilera      5:30 PM PST, November 14, 2014

Is it safe to assume that Rumple and The Snow Queen have had any other interactions in between when he took her sisters' ribbons and when she tried to get them back?
EM: It's possible, I think that we kind of think they have had a bit more of a past but we're going to see a bit more in the next episode. I mean I like watching them together and watching them spar. I think it's really fun—it's like watching a game of chess.

By Matt Webb Mitovich / November 13 2014, 12:00 PM PST

TVLINE | In that final pawn shop Once_Rumple_SnowQueenscene, did you whisper the actual secret to Rumplestiltskin freeing himself of the dagger into Bobby Carlyle’s ear? Did you know what it was?
No. I had kind of figured out what it was, but I didn’t want anyone to catch it, so no, I did not. I kind of just hovered my lips near his earlobe. We laughed.

Once Upon A Time' Q&A: Elizabeth Mitchell Hints At The Snow Queen's Endgame For Emma & Elsa

November 16, 2014 10:32 AM EDT

Access: With Emma going to Rumplestiltskin to ask him to take her powers away, is that going to anger Ingrid/The Snow Queen?
Elizabeth: I think it's going to make her a little irritated, yeah. Definitely. You're absolutely right. I don't think that Rumple and Ingrid are done with each other either, you know? I feel like there's more to say on all of that as well, so yeah, there's some stuff that goes down, which gives me more chance to work with Bobby [Robert Carlyle], which is awesome.

Access: He's so dedicated. He's just so interesting to talk to, too.
Elizabeth: He's so interesting and he's so much fun. He's such a joy to play with. We decided early on that we were gonna just play chess. Every time we would get to set it was just gonna be a chess match between these two characters and it's just been so much fun.

Any scoop on Once Upon a Time’s Belle? –Natalie
With husband Rumplestiltskin treading ever deeper into morally murky waters, series cocreator Adam Horowitz says that Belle’s “strength and heroism play a key part in the fall finale” airing Dec. 14. The EP also says to expect a flashback to “another bit of her time in the dark castle with Rumple.”

'Once Upon a Time': Will Emma's want to rid her powers ruin Snow Queen's plan?

'Once Upon a Time': Will Emma's want to rid her powers ruin Snow Queen's plan?

By Natalie Abrams on Nov 14, 2014 at 5:54PM @NatalieAbrams

As Emma’s powers continue to spiral out of control during Sunday’s special two-hour outing of Once Upon a Time, she’ll turn to Rumplestiltskin for help in getting her powers under control—though Emma may be ready to get rid of her powers altogether.

“They’re thinking maybe it’s the best thing for her, to get rid of all of this burden that she seems to have that she carries the world on her shoulder,” Josh Dallas tells EW. “Maybe she can just be normal and she doesn’t have to be the savior.”

But being normal could come at a steep price. What Emma (Jennifer Morrison) may not realize is that Rumplestiltskin (Robert Carlye) is far from redeemed after doing everything in his power to get his hands on the Sorcerer’s Hat—the same hat that sucks other magical beings into it.

Whatever happens between Emma and Rumple, the pair will share a deeper moment of understanding during a scene added on once the episode was expanded into two hours. “Emma sees herself as a villain because she feels like she’s made so many mistakes in her life and she’s always trying to redeem the mistakes that she’s made,” Morrison says. “Gold can only see her as a hero. The fact that he sees her as a hero in the way that he does is really impacting to her to hear him say that. Those words are really powerful to her.”

Once Upon a Time Scoop: Lana Parrilla on Regina's Struggle, Finding the Author & More!

by Jim Halterman at November 14, 2014 10:38 am.

TVF: Do you miss some of the Evil Queen stuff that we used to see Regina do?

LP: Of course I miss it. It’s fun and we have a couple of flashbacks coming up where, for me, playing the Evil Queen again…it’s like a breath of fresh air and I used to use that term all the time when Regina was on the road to redemption, but now because she’s been down that path for the last couple seasons it’s kind of refreshing to go back and play this Evil Queen again. As the actor who plays her I love it. I feel so free and I can go anywhere with her and I can be quite theatrical, over the top, and then still, you know, the origin of that performance lies in truth and honest choices. So it’s fun. I want to see more of it and I believe you will be very soon.

It’s funny because Bobby [Carlyle] and I were together just last week and we did this scene of Evil Queen and Rumpelstiltskin, and we were like, “Oh my God, this is our first scene together this entire season. It took eleven episodes but here we are.” And, oh my gosh, we had the best time. We just had the best time, a ton of fun, and you will also see Regina and Gold again and they have a beautiful conversation together in her car. He comes in and they just start chatting it up and there’s a beautiful kinship between them, a friendship, an old sort of familial bond between them that everyone will see shortly.

Once Upon a Time Spoilers: What's Next for The Snow Queen?

Once Upon a Time Spoilers: What's Next for The Snow Queen?
by Jim Halterman at November 10, 2014 2:08 pm.

Is the Snow Queen the most evil of evil on Once Upon a Time Season 4?
On Once Upon A Time Season 4 Episode 7, we may have learned the origins of Ingrid (aka The Snow Queen) but, as actress Elizabeth Mitchell told me this morning, that doesn't mean we should necessarily sympathize with her.
However, what fun The Snow Queen is having as she turns Emma against her own family and works her plan with the aid of Rumple himself.
So ... what's next as we move into next week's two-hour episode? Let's see what Mitchell had to say...

(...)

TVF: Moving forward, will we find out what she whispered to Gold at the end of the episode?

EM: Yes! We will find it out. I mean, I had it figured it out and I kind of have to put it all together and I got it right so it’s very possible that all the thoughts that people are putting together are fairly accurate. But, yes, we will find that out for sure.
Watch Once Upon a Time Season 4 Episode 7 Online

TVF: Do you think she should trust Gold or should Gold trust her? They’re cut from the same cloth in a lot of ways.

EM: Well, no, I don’t think that they should. I mean, there’s a scene in the next episode that one of the characters says to my character ‘You walk in the way of darkness’ like you walk the dark path and I found how telling that is because she is corrupted. She’s a corrupted person and she’s been turned, basically, so a lot of her powers, like his which come from being the dark one, but she had her natural power but she walks on the dark side so I think they have that in common. You can feel for them all you want but nevertheless that is the path they walk on so, yes, I think that’s what they genuinely have in common.

But should they trust each other? I think they’re both scorpions and if that follows the old fable, they probably should not. They’re both capable of love, which is nice, and I think they like each other. Well, they feel something for each other but I don’t know what it is. It’s something.

Jennifer Morrison, Robert Carlyle, and Georgina Haig on the Fight to Control Emma’s Powers

ONCE UPON A TIME: Jennifer Morrison, Robert Carlyle, and Georgina Haig on the Fight to Control Emma’s Powers

November 7, 2014 by Marisa Roffman

The Snow Queen has everyone on edge on ONCE UPON A TIME, and one of the unintended consequences of that is that Emma’s already-shaky control of her powers becomes even more unstable.

“The Snow Queen knows how to push her buttons,” ONCE UPON A TIME star Jennifer Morrison (Emma) acknowledged to reporters on set. “And so she knew [Emma] very well at a young age, but she took her memories. So she knows how to get under her skin, she knows what buttons to push to rile her up internally.”

“So very similar to how Elsa has magic that gets out of control when she’s upset…it’s as if my magic follows the same rules: when I’m riled up, when I’m in that much turmoil, when someone is pushing me that hard, things do start to get out of control, and it doesn’t become my choice to use the power,” Morrison continued. “So then I become very afraid I’m going to hurt people I care about because I feel so out of control of it…and I turn to Rumple thinking he’ll be an ally…I would rather be rid of the magic than hurt anyone I care about.”

But Rumple has his own hesitations about helping Emma try to contain — or get rid of — her magic.

“She’s savior magic [and] all magic is different,” Robert Carlyle (Rumple) pointed out. “That’s the thing in our world; savior magic is a different thing. There’s an episode that’s coming up…where he says that, ‘That savior magic won’t go quietly.’ It’s a very different thing. I don’t think he has any intentions of helping Emma in her life. Gold/Rumple, he’s very, he’s selfish, you know. He’s a selfish kind of guy and he’s addicted to the power, he’s addicted to the magic, he’s addicted to his own world. He doesn’t have a lot of time for anyone else. I think that’s what makes the character so interesting. You can hope that he’s gonna be nice, but maybe not.”

And whether Rumple ends up helping Emma or not, she’ll at least have a sympathetic ally in Elsa.

“Because [Elsa]‘s gone through it before, she kinda explains it to the other characters,” Georgina Haig (Elsa) teased. “She tries to help Emma deal with it. She’s like, ‘Look, I’ve gone through this. You don’t have to give up your magic. You need to love yourself.’ Because that’s Elsa’s biggest lesson is that she had to learn to love herself, so she tries to impart that to Emma.”

ONCE UPON A TIME: Robert Carlyle on Rumple’s Lies to Belle

ONCE UPON A TIME: Robert Carlyle on Rumple’s Lies to Belle

October 31, 2014 by Marisa Roffman

In this Sunday’s ONCE UPON A TIME, Rumple’s little lie weighs on his relationship with Belle as she tries to use the dagger to get Rumple to reveal some information he’s reluctant to disclose. Unfortunately for Belle, she still doesn’t know that Rumple swapped out the real dagger with a powerless replacement.

“She still doesn’t know [the truth],” Robert Carlyle teased to reporters on set. “It’s killing him, though, because it just keeps coming up. The dagger keeps coming up. She presents it to him a couple times and he goes to take this thing and he’s thinking — he nearly does it.”

And there is a real temptation for Rumple to confess all to his new bride.

“Initially, he did,” Carlyle pointed out. “It only lasted seconds and he took it back again…there’s a kind of addiction thing here. He’s addicted to the dagger and this whole world. And even though he loves her and he means that and he wants to do the right thing by her, it’s really difficult to be addicted to anything.”

But while fans may be hoping that Rumple eventually does the right thing and reveals the truth to Belle, Carlyle is rooting for his character to keep indulging in his evil ways.

“No, I’m really hoping he doesn't [do the right thing],” he said. “As soon as he starts to do the right thing, the character’s finished. That's the reason he is who he is and that’s the reason I think people like him because he is his own person.”

The Hot Seat: 'Once Upon a Time' bosses answer burning questions

The Hot Seat: 'Once Upon a Time' bosses answer burning questions
By Natalie Abrams on Oct 31, 2014 at 7:30PM

As the race to track down the Snow Queen intensifies, new developments from Emma’s past have surfaced on Once Upon a Time—namely that the big bad was actually her foster mom at one point. But that’s far from the only mystery surrounding this season, which is why EW put executive producers Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis in The Hot Seat, where they have the option of answering your questions from Twitter with “Yes,” “No” or “Can’t say.” Get the scoop below:

Will we ever see Lily (Nicole Munoz) again?
Kitsis: Yes.

Will Emma (Jennifer Morrison) ever get her own place?
Kitsis: Yes, she should get her own place.
Horowitz: We’re working on it.

Will Emma ever confront Regina (Lana Parrilla) for killing Graham (Jamie Dornan)?
Horowitz: First of all, she doesn’t know that Regina killed Graham. If you look back at season one, before Emma believed, when she talks to Henry (Jared Gilmore) about the aftermath of Graham’s death, she says what the autopsy was, which was an aneurysm. She still believes that.
Kitsis: She believed it at the time, and then things have happened.
Horowitz: She actually doesn’t know that Regina was behind it. That’s never been something that has come up. If it did, I’m sure she would take issue with it.

Will Regina use her light magic again?
Kitsis: I would hope so.

Is there a reason behind Regina’s magic being red?
Horowitz: She was angry at the snow monster.
Kitsis: Fire burns hot, and Regina’s got a lot of fire.

Will the search for the author lead Operation Mongoose outside of Storybrooke?
Horowitz: Yes.

Is future Henry the author of the book?
Kitsis: Not today.

Is Rumple’s (Robert Carlyle) behavior this season in any way related to his resurrection from the vault of the Dark One?
Kitsis: Absolutely, it is related to that. It is related to the fact that all of last season, he was a slave to the dagger under the control of the Wicked Witch (Rebecca Mader), thus reminding him how precious his life is. And it is related to this hat and what it can do for him. He is a man who has always chosen power over love, but this hat is a tantalizing thing for him that he thought he never thought he would be able to achieve. When he finds the hat in the premiere, you realize why he had to wake up in the middle of the night and do it, even though he just made a big declaration to be on the straight and narrow. For us, it was: What is this object? What is so important that would make him break that code literally the same night? It’s based on all these things we’ve just talked about.

Could the Sorcerer’s hat ever be powerful enough to rewrite fate?
Horowitz: That’s a great question. Maybe.

Will we find out the significance of the honeymoon house and why Belle (Emilie de Ravin) found it?
Horowitz and Kitsis: Yes.

Outside of Sunday’s Belle-centric episode, will we see her mother (Frances O’Connor) again down the line?
Kitsis: Maybe.

Does Once’s current timeline take place after the events of Wonderland?
Horowitz: Yes.

Will we see the Red Queen (Emma Rigby) this season?
Kitsis: We’re going to try.

Will we see more of the missing year?
Horowitz: Yes.
Kitsis: But it may not be this season.

Will we ever see the repercussions of Snow (Ginnifer Goodwin) and Charming (Josh Dallas) sharing a heart?
Horowitz and Kitsis: Yes.

Will we find out if baby Neal has special powers, too?
Horowitz and Kitsis: Yes.

Will we ever see the Swan family and why they gave Emma back?
Kitsis: Potentially. Maybe.
Horowitz: More of Emma’s past is in the cards.

Will Emma and Hook (Colin O’Donoghue) take their relationship to the next level this season?
Horowitz: If by next level you mean going from Netflix to Hulu Plus, possibly.
Kitsis: Yes.

Will we ever see what dirty work Hook used to do for Peter Pan (Robbie Kay)?
Kitsis: Maybe.

Will we see Tinker Bell (Rose McIver) again?
Kitsis: Depends on her schedule.
Horowitz: We hope so.
Kitsis: She is the lead of her own show [The CW’s midseason entry iZombie], in which she’s in every scene. So although she is in the same city that we shoot, it’s very hard for her to have free time, but as soon as she does, we’ll put her back in her green outfit.

Will we see other villains besides Maleficent (Kristin Bauer van Straten) in the second half of the season?
Horowitz: I sure hope so.

Is there going to be a major character death this season?
Kitsis: I hope so.

Do you have your series end game planned?
Kitsis: Yes. We have had our series end game from when we created the series. We have a road map, and we’ve allowed ourselves a lot of freedom, but it was never our intention to say, “Here’s exactly what we’re going to do.” But we know where we’re leading to.
Horowitz: And if you’re asking whether we know what we’d like the last moment of the series to be, yes, we do.
